We went to the breed demonstration and my guy was a champ. He stood quietly while waiting our turn and
really turned it on for the crowd. There were a few oohs and ahhs. I dressed in full show suit and think we
represented the breed well in saddleseat fashion!!! We shared this with another Morgan horse being
ridden dressage. He was a 20 yr old chestnut that moved beautifully. We waited again for all the breeds to
demonstrate and then participated in the parade of breeds. .Afterwards we went to our table full of
literature about the Morgan Horse and waited for all the nice people to come and look and ask questions
and of course pet my Manning. I had contacted AMHA and they sent a lot of literature to put out for people
to pick up and learn about this fabulous breed. I think he was impressive and people were drawn to him
and how friendly he is. Many comments were made about how "proud " he looked holding his head so high
with his massive neck so beautifully arched. ( of course being so handsome had something to do with it!!)
All in all it was a great day and I had a blast. When I get the pictures emailed to me I will send you one. I
Think he was such a good boy to have only been in training for less than 8 mos and didn't really even
know how to lead when I first got him as a 4 yr old. I owe this all to my trainer Lori Ingram of Countryside
Stables. She is an incredible trainer and loves him as much as I do. I tell her all the time I look at him and
cannot believe he belongs to "us". She has tremendous faith in him and me and we would have never
come together with out her. Lori came to me about the whole breed demonstration and asked if we wanted
to do it and I am so glad I did.
